Tell us about your experience at Simply The Blues in October?
We had a fantastic experience no doubt about that, we have always wanted to play at St.Andrews Auditorium so one thing off the checklist now. "Simply The Blues" was very well organized and the event had a really good vibe, mainly because of all the passionate people involved. My mum has never heard me play live in my 10 yrs with my guitar; she was present in the audience and really loved it so the event truly was very special to me personally. We hope Simply the Blues is here to stay for a really long time.

How is your first EP shaping up? What should listeners expect from it?
We have 5 original tunes that we normally perform when we play live and have  some unfinished tunes we are currently working on. We would like to spend another year working on our material shaping up our sound and then hit the studio for an album. As far as what to expect from us.. We are a loud in the face blues/rock band so one can expect tasteful yet aggressive tunes.

Share your thoughts on the evolving Blues scenario in the country?
Blues has and will always be alive in our country. There is so much amazing local talent to prove it. Soulmate is a living testimonial of that. Simply The Blues is a fantastic initiative to keep the blues scene alive and kicking. We need more events that showcase local talent. Playing big festivals as opening acts and side acts is one thing but having a festival dedicated to bringing all the local musicians from different parts of the country and taking that concept in every city possible would be the best way to promote blues and the musicians who are torch bearers for the same in our country. There are hardly any venues who truly support this form of music and not many sponsors who are keen to push this genre. Starkonnect has taken a huge step by bringing this concept to life by showing faith in the local musicians and this surely is going to make a big difference in the longer run. There are many senior undiscovered musicians who are great at their art who have gone un noticed because there were no festivals during their time or venues. I hope the right people read this and they can do something about it.
